Bulk Bag Handling System

Price: $1,150 (inc GST)* The bulk handling system comprises three main components. Firstly, a Davis Bag Stand provides a base for the Pallet. Secondly, one tonne bags are placed on the Pallet on the Bag Stand. Finally the Davis Bag Mate is attached to the bulk bag.

These components are fully welded and painted and comprise a stand onto which the pallet is lifted.

Davis Bag Mate

The Davis Bag Mate can be safely attached to the bladder of bulk bags to enable the safe, quick and controlled release of the contents. This dramatically reduces the time the operator is working under a bulk bag.

Its unique design allows the user to regulate the flow of a one tonne fertiliser or grain bulk bag from arm's length. This keeps the user from having to place themselves under the one tonne bag, as has been observed practice, which poses some very important Occupational Health and Safety issues.

This is an innovative piece of equipment that makes life easier and safer for anyone on the land that handles bulk materials. Isn't that something that we all strive for?

The Bag Mate consists of a 175 mm plated steel barrel, with a 230 mm square plate at the bottom that is used as a sliding shutter. A steel band with an over-centre latch secures the barrel to the bladder of the bulk bag. A chain lock mechanism is provided to control the sliding door.

The Bag Stand provides a base for the Pallet. Once the Pallet has been placed on top of the Bag Stand, the combination forms a small silo into which one tonne bags can be fitted.

This combination of the Davis Bag Mate, Bag Stand and the Pallet provides an operator a safe environment for the use of one tonne bulk bags.
